Casino-area traffic management at 777 Willowbrook Road
The new Ho-Chunk casino opens October 18 and 23, but the roundabout at its main entrance won't be finished until 2028. The proposed temporary ordinance adds stop signs, traffic devices, and no-parking rules so drivers aren't caught in a dangerous bottleneck during construction.

Beloit-Janesville Express route realignment
The regional bus to Janesville will move to Prairie Avenue and end at the Piggly Wiggly starting August 17, improving access to healthcare and employers but raising concerns about downtown Beloit access for Janesville riders. Evening and weekend service gaps remain unaddressed due to budget limits.

Four accessible parking spaces are being added on East Grand Avenue near the Flying Pig, required by federal accessibility guidelines after the street reconstruction.

The state is upgrading sidewalk curb ramps along Highways 51 and 81 east of the Rock River and needs small easements on four city-owned parcels, including park land and the fire station. The city would be paid about $6,350 total, and construction is planned for 2027.
Acquisition of surplus WisDOT land at 800 Interstate 90
The city was set to consider buying surplus state land near I-90 for right-of-way purposes.
